The important part is to just pray. So here are a few prayers for you to help you get going, help you when you are at a loss for words, and to let you know there are many praying, so you are never alone.

Divine Daily Prayer

It is the practice of prayer disipline that has been prayed for centuries by priests, monks, religious ministers, and the faithful. Commonly known as the Daily Office, the practice is not just for clerics, but for all disciples of Christ, whether or not you are more sinner than saint on most days. You are worth the effort of practcing this transformative ancient practice of connecting with Jesus Christ through-out your shared day. The Divine Daily Prayer is a series of prayers, prayed every three hours of the day with the intention of keeping you focused on walking with, sharing your day with, being enaged with Jesus. Start by choosing the hours you feel you need to be connected the most with Jesus, then let the Holy Spirit do the rest.

Prayers of Scripture

Holy Scripture is full of prayers. The Psalter is 150 prayers that include prayers of praise and prayers of lament. Praying the Psalter is always worth the time. There are other Scriptural prayers that also offer you relevant meaning during times of strife and times of searching. We have shared just a sampling of these prayers on the following page to help you come and see that the Lord is listening, the Lord is understanding, and the Lord is responding to you. "Come and See" is Jesus' invitation to all of his disciples. So, come and see....

Prayers of the Church

The Prayers of the Church are prayers that have evolved over hundreds, thousands of years. Prayers that are both individual and communal in nature, to benefit the prayer and those prayed for. Praying the prayers of the church connect us, no matter how isolated we are in our lives, these prayers connect us to the world-wide church. You can be assured that a prayer you are praying in any given moment is a prayer being prayed at that exact time by another person in this world. A person with the same heartaches and hopes as you. In that knowledge, may you be comforted.
